Mass Effect Alignment Chart 2

Description

Second of two Mass Effect Alignment charts.

Lawful Good: David Anderson: One of the only consistently reasonable, moral, and competent authority figures in the entire Mass Effect mythos. Either as an Alliance officer or (possibly) the first Human Councilor, Anderson is always out to make sure humanity gets by without resorting to the kind of barbarism practiced by, say, Cerberus. Albeit, he WILL condone any and all of Renegade Shepard's atrocities, but in this franchise, EVERYONE is either guilty or potentially guilty of condoning evil people's crimes. But other than that universal flaw, Anderson is a text-book good guy.

Neutral Good: Thane Krios: While I would say he was Lawful Neutral in his younger years, by the time you recruit him I'd say he's become this, being most concerned with doing some true good before he finally dies and not being all that concerned with breaking the rules in the process, but also not being overtly contemptuous of authority the way Garrus and Jacob are.

Chaotic Good: Jacob Taylor: Most people would say he's Lawful Good, but the fact is, Jacob is VERY cynical regarding authority and has just as little faith in the Alliance and the Council as Garrus does. Ergo, he's Chaotic Good.

Lawful Neutral: Nihlus Kyrik: A dedicated and loyal Spectre who thanks to his limited screen-time and general lack of a developed personality comes off as being this.

True Neutral: Veetor: A neurotic Quarian who doesn't really have much in the way of good or evil deeds. Although, he was allegedly a well-meaning Quarian on his pilgrimage before he lost his mind. At that point, I feel like he shifts from Neutral Good to True Neutral.

Chaotic Neutral: Grunt: The "perfect" Krogan who always relishes a good fight, being interested in little else but also not being so bloodthirsty that he's Chaotic Evil. He does have some restraint, just not much. Not to mention that it's really the fight Grunt is after, not so much the death or killing. As such he prefers to only face strong, worthy opponents, not just crushing the weak for pointless sadistic pleasure.

Lawful Evil: The Illusive Man: The leader of Cerberus who believes that humanity needs to fight for it's place in the Galaxy, but also having long since allowed his views to be marred by xenophobia and an "ends justify the means" philosophy. For him the only good order, is a human dominant one where aliens are second-class at best.

Neutral Evil: The Shadow Broker: A crime boss with a specialty in information, and also willing to buy and sell secrets without the slightest regard for the consequences of such acts. His clearly liking to have control over people might actually make him more Lawful Evil, but I suppose that much like his employee Tela Vasir he's in-between the two alignments.

Chaotic Evil: Morinth: The Mass Effect universe's answer to vampires, with Morinth being a sadistic and sociopathic serial killer who enjoys sucking her victims dry of their vitality and life, feeling a sense of empowerment when she murders people. Needless to say, you can see why her mother wants to stop her. And to think some people actually feel sorry for this psycho.
